Denim Refresh: Incorporating the Season’s New Denim
If there is one clothing item that everyone has in their closet, it is a good piece of denim. That could be a great jean, a denim jacket, or maybe even a denim top. I think GQ put it perfectly when they said denim is really the “workhorse of every man’s closet.” This Spring/Summer season this classic everyday material and style is coming back in a huge way. I remember watching the Balmain runway show (on IG live from my bed because I’m not that cool to get invited to those things yet) and seeing an army of denim-drenched models marching one by one down the runway. Other designers including GSBM, Versace, and Off-White are also incorporating denim in a new and bold way for the upcoming season.
Get The Look
I’ve always been a fan of denim just because of its versatility and ease when it comes to styling. My go-to denim pants have always been Rag & Bone because of the fit and range of styles. Recently I have been trying to broaden my horizons when it comes to jeans and looking at some styles that are a bit more on-trend like straight leg, two tone, and boot cut. Recently I picked up these amazing NOAK denim bottoms from ASOS (which you can see my sister’s reaction to on my YouTube channel). I love the loose fit and white stitching detail in these bottoms and I’m going to continue to test out different styles of denim during the upcoming months.
Below are a collection of some great denim pieces to test out if you want to join me on my denim journey.
