LUX FOR LESS: Where to Find The Best Designer Deals
Happy Monday! It’s officially the start of summer for me. School is out, the sun is shining brighter and brighter each day, and today is my first day of a 10-week internship at the global advertising agency, DDB! Summer is really in full swing. I have been making a commitment to myself that, while I’ll be busy this summer, I will not neglect TLC, my YouTube Channel, or my Instagram content.
This post is one that I have been meaning to get to since the designer sales started a few weeks ago because let’s be honest… who doesn’t love to save money on designer goods! There are so many great sales, especially online, and it is a great time to stock up on items you’ve been eyeing or on summer-appropriate styles. Here are some of the luxury websites that are having amazing sales right now, as well as some of the items I personally have on my wish list.
BARNEYS NEW YORK
It’s no surprise that Barneys is one of my favorite stores in NYC. I love Barneys because they really have a great selection of established designers, new up-and-coming names, and a pretty wide price range. For me, I love designer goods and luxury products, but sometimes I don’t always have the luxury budget. Barneys has some great approachable high-quality pieces where even a student like me can partake in the shopping experience. I love going in the store normally, but the online shopping experience is one of the best out there, especially when it comes to sale season. I personally wouldn’t recommend going into the store during sale time only because there is SO MUCH selection that, unless you are willing to begin an Indiana Jones style expedition through rows and rows of unorganized clothes, you probably won’t find anything. Shopping the sale online gives you the chance to have a much more pleasant experience and browse the amazing selection of on-sale items from the comfort of your computer or cell phone. The packaging from Barneys online is pretty great too!
Did you know Matches Fashion has actual stores in the UK? Sorry, I know that was very random but I just discovered this a few weeks ago. If you haven’t heard of Matches Fashion, you can kind of think of them as the upscale, elevated ASOS. I have been browsing Matches website and app (which is amazing) for a few years since they have an incredible content team that puts together style advice, trend reports, and just a collection of great top centric pieces to browse. Recently I purchased my Jacquemus necklace bag from them and am now officially hooked. My piece came in this stunning and super luxurious tie-dye cardboard box, a handwritten card from the person who wrapped by package, and a plethora of collateral cards, ribbon, and tissue paper which made the unboxing experience so memorable. Check out their site for some great deals going on right now! ALSO, before you purchase anything make sure to scroll to the bottom of the site and sign up for the loyalty program which gives you amazing perks the more you shop!
This is one of the newer sites I have found. What is cool about this site is that you can get direct access to current and next season items directly from the designers. Moda has an incredible buying team and a fantastic collection of pieces, especially for men (which we all know is sometimes kind of hard to come by).
If you are looking for a large range of products, look no further than Farfetch. This online store connects users with boutiques and smaller luxury retailers from around the world which makes their selection really the best of all the online sites. While their range of products and sales can be very enticing, be aware that since items are coming from different boutiques from around the world, there may be price discrepancies based on size. If you are an average size, this typically will not be an issue, but since I am so skinny, I tend to be the sizes which are the rarest and therefore not on sale…
Another great site to have on your radar for sale items is LUISAVIAROMA. This was also a recent discovery of mine from one of my favorite bloggers and YouTubers Mel in Melbourne. Yes, we all know I have an unhealthy relationship with watching unboxing and haul videos… Anyway, LUISAVIAROMA is a great place to find both streetwear designers and more tailored pieces and there sale is one that shouldn’t be looked over.
I hope these breakdowns of my favorite sites for sales was helpful! Let me know if you want me to do more of these types of blog post in the comments and if you enjoyed it give it a like!
Happy Shopping!
