BE BOLD! Statement Pants For Summer
Are you afraid of a loud and bold pant? Don’t worry, because I used to be too. Recently I picked up some mustard trousers that, to be honest, I was a little unsure of. I saw them on the rack of K-fashion store ALAND and told myself “hmmm let me try these on.” I walked into the dressing room, looked in the mirror, and went back and forth. I told myself “they’re too much” and “I’ll never wear them.” After a pep talk from my sister (thanks Amara) I decided to get them.
Men’s fashion has really made a turn. It isn’t weird to be out and see bold prints, bright colors, or statement pieces on guys. While the industry and culture may say that it’s the “new normal,” it can still be intimidating terrain to inhabit. After taking my initial leap into the world of statement pieces, I am a believer in the trend and will be rocking them all summer long!
My first full day in these mustard bottoms was at Ladurée Soho and the compliments were DEFINITELY flowing. From the waiter at our table to random strangers in the street (those ones are the best), everyone seemed to love this fashion statement. I paired the pants with a white button-up short sleeve with a large pocket and small black patch. I tied the look together with my new Louis Vuitton Soft Trunk from the Spring/Summer 2019 collection. I love the neon orange detail which goes great with the pants. Lastly, the shoes are my favorite white Fila Disrupters.
